My Story

During my final year of collegiate basketball, I was also pursuing my graduate degree in counseling. As my internship approached, I realized that while I had a grasp of various mental health tools, I lacked a deep understanding of how to apply them. So I decided to spend the next four months experimenting, partly because I needed the tools to cope with life but also to see if they even worked.

They work... And it has completely changed my life.

As the only person in my family who played college sports, walking into the unknown of managing the whirlwind and uncertainty of being an athlete on top of academic responsibilities can be overwhelming. A common phrase in the sports world is "The game is 80% mental and 20% physical," but I noticed that most programs don't emphasize the mental as much as the physical. When I started to learn and apply the tools to manage all aspects of my health (mental, physical, psychological, and emotional), I saw significant changes in my performance and overall well-being.

Living The Real You, is about guiding individuals toward a life that resonates with their core values while providing them with the necessary tools to navigate the ups and downs of the journey. Our mission involves empowering people to recognize their emotions and master the art of expressing them. Understanding the barriers to accessing mental health treatment, I am devoted to educating and inspiring others to apply these skills in their own way.
